Hi, I’m considering to buy this machine. Do you think it is better than the 3018 cnc? Can it do a lot more, like big relief carvings and plaques? It seems really well made with big stepper motors and dual lead screws. Thanks
Yes it is much better than a 3018, not even comparable really.
Yes it can do big relief carvings and plaques. It comes with a 3 month trial of carveco which is really good for that type of work.
I highly recommend the 4030XL, its a great bit of kit.
Yes
Hello,
Is it possible to change the module with a laser?
If yes, by which one?
Thank you
It has a a laser connection port, so yes you can, but they haven’t released a laser kit yet, so you would have to design the mount etc. yourself.
Good day sir
How are you doing and your business
I am very much interested in your products especially 3040 computer engraving machine.
Give me the price and how it can shipped to me in Nigeria.
Thanks
Adegboyega Kokumo
You can buy it online here: PROVerXL 4030
Hello,
I already have a CNC 3018 Prover. Is this new 3040 CNC machine more accurate than the 3018 to produce quality single and double sided PCBs?
Thank you.
The PROVerXl gives you a bigger work area, more powerful spindle motor and more powerful stepper motors.
Is it better than the 3018 PROVer for milling pcbs? Only if you need bigger pcbs.
The 3018 PROVer is fine for making pcbs. If you are not getting good results, then that is a different issue.
can the machine work with e Mac-System ?
I work now with the 3018 Genmitsu and a windows Laptop …
Sorry my English. I’m from Switzerland.
It can but it doesn’t come with the software to do so
Hi,
I’m currently using the 3018 PROVer and works fine, only the play on the router bit (due to the construction and design of the machine) is too much. Is this better with the 3040 PROVerXL?
How does the guiding with teh plastic wheels work?
Thanks for your feedback.
Jos
The PROVer XL 4030 is a significantly more robust machine. It is not in the same category of machine at all.
The wheels work fine, unless you want to mill aluminium everyday they should be fine.
I’m thinking a lot this for my husband.
I’m curious about the working area.
I know it can only handle a certain width and thickness.. but in theory, could one engrave an area and then slide a board a little more to the side to engrave next to it? Obviously images would be tricky… but perhaps a long sign?
Yes you can slide it through front to back
Will the software work with Mac computers?
Yes, there is software available for the mac
can I use mach 3 processor and V-carve Pro, since I already have them.
You can’t use Mach3 with the the PROVer XL (you would use a free GRBL gcode sender like candle. UGS or Openbuilds instead)
Yes you can use V-Carve Pro – just select a grbl post processor
How difficult do you think it would be to change the sets of rubber wheels for linear rails, and the X and Y axis’ to ballscrews?
Easier to start from scratch probably, although someone on youtube did it and was going to sell kits
